Building off of design principles and techniques explored in Dami and Falian, Emily Carr alumni embarked on a project with Meta, producing Mescaform Hill: The Missing Five, a mystery story set in rural Nigeria. Over a year, this project further explored comic book language in Virtual Reality, prioritizing animation and spatial abstraction, instead of interactivity, to deliver a narrative experience. Mescaform Hill: The Missing Five was premiered in Tribeca Festival in 2022.

  • Further explored the interplay of comic book language and VR by integrating cinematic animation. Volumetric panels materialize in space abstracting time and space in novel ways.
